There was once a fox
His coat, a wonderful white
His eyes, brightest blue

A forest, his home
Spectacular leaves falling
Every color

His life is quiet
Forage, explore, hunt, then sleep
Simple, but lonely

One day, a turtle
Slow but steady, so patient
His shell, glows bright blue

The Turtle sees him
Cannot run, his home heavy
So he hides inside

Fox is curious
Would like very much to play
So the shell he taps

“Tck Tck Tck” Soft taps
For the turtle, an earthquake!
He hides, his home shakes

The Fox senses fear
Slowly backs up, takes a seat
Patiently waiting

Turtle sees the fox
Seems innocent, curious
Perhaps is a friend

Fox sits patiently
Tail swaying as he just waits
He is in no rush

Turtle hides in home
Then sees a familiar sight
Eyes just like his shell

Turtle is weary
Tired of being so alone
Could use a new friend

Slowly emerging…
The Fox remained still, patient
Alright with waiting

The Turtle revealed,
Now out of his shell, exposed
Deciding to trust

The Fox, excited
Found a new friend finally
A wary approach

Both creatures meeting
The Fox, fur as white as snow
Turtle, shell of blue

Wary, curious
Interested in a friend
They must both have trust

Turtle stops and stares
Fox smiles, then hops, A new friend
Now until the end

They roam together
In this forest of wonder,
No longer alone.
